it appears all the fluid is gone, were going to the vet tomorrow to be sure and to get blood work done. he might only have to take one pill a day. the vet said if the fluid had gone down that much that there's no way it is heart disease that it is most deafanatly liver. so he is getting better and will always be on medicine but he is going to live!!!!!!!!!!

whats the best thank you present you could get for a vet???
my son made a thank you picture with a picture of him and tucker on it

That's the best news you can hope for in this situation :))
So glad to hear his heart is ok.

What great news!!

I think the picture your son made of himself and Tucker says it all. Your vet will love it.

I agree -Milk Thistle plus SAMe in combination, can limit damage by reducing fibrosis.

I think so too-- we brought our vet a before-and-after pic of Gracie, that tiny Maltese that barely weighed 3lbs. and they still have it hanging up there on the bulletin board in the lobby!

So glad Tucker is doing better, hope he continues to improve and can get off some of the meds. Thoughts & prayers out to you all for continued improvement.

so its been along time since i got to a computer.

its not tuckers liver its his heart. he has heart diease. but aginst all odds hes still going healtier then ever some how. hes only on 4 pills a day now. and has so much energy its unreal. he has his ups and downs but for an old dog that was given a week to live in jan/feb hes doing great:d

he really is a fighter, hes not letting this diease take him. hes amazed the vets and everyone all round us.

The best gift you can give a vet is a sincere thank-you like the one you already gave, requesting them and nobody else for euthanasia, and bringing your next new puppy to them and nobody else.

I agree with the Milk Thistle and Sam-E... incredible stuff for the liver, not sure why, but it WORKS!

Sending healing thoughts for many months together...
