I'm so sorry Icky is having such a difficult time.

I too hope that the dermatologist can offer you some option(s).

*hugs*

Update the dermatologist thinks it might be sarcoptes scabies but she couldn't find any mites on the skin scraping she said that she is hopeing its mights because that is easyer to treat. She gave me Revolution to put on all the dogs so in case it is mites it won't spred. The list of the things me got today.
skin scraping
skin cytology
Ketoconazole 200 mg tabs
clindamycin 150 mg capsules
tresaderm 15 ml
prednisone 20 mg tablets
revolution 21-40lbs for Icky
revolution 41-85lbs for Bucky and Cleo
revolution 11-20lbs for Charlie.
Im realy broke right now Icky has to go back on the 5th to see if its working Im keeping my fingers crossed Oh and by the way all the vets at that hospital fell in love with her because of her sweet nature.

You really are a angel, thank you for taking care of her so well. I am actually suprised for all of that stuff that your visit today was only $349, that sounds pretty reasonable compared to my vet, but I am happy, cuz you deserve a break. Keep us updated please. Has she ever been on prednisone?

I just wondered, I know some people dont like it for its side effects. Bella was on it for her allergies, she is now on cyclosporine. But it was like a "miracle drug" for Bella it instantly stopped her itching, but she was about 4mths old when she first started taking it, maybe 5mths old, but she had accidents while on it, for the first couple of days, I guess it increase their thirst, so they drink more, but it was like she didn't have any control of her bladder, I felt so bad for her, cuz she was potty trained and she would look so sad, like she did something wrong, so I called my dr. and then found out its a side effect. Good luck to you and her, I really hope all this stuff works.

Besides the mites, did the vet seem optimistic, did she think that she may be beyond help?
