Since I joined in February, I saw posts about Button, thought he was adorable and never knew all the back story.

For some reason tonight I saw all the history about him and his brothers and the amazing story.

I'm just flabbergasted at the AMAZING story behind this little fellow and all the incredible work that has gone into getting him to this point.

Congrats to you and the others. I can't wait to keep up on the updates.

I :inlove: him even more now & PBF and it's incredible members!!!

I am glad the eye repair and neuter went well!

Welcome back baby Button! He is such a cute little goober. Does he have a tiny little cone on? :)

here is what his eye looks like today. he has to get tribiotic drops for the next week, and the stitch should dissolve on its own. it's some kind of opthalmic stitch, and you really can't even see it!

he was pretty groggy and he was happy to see me but all he really wanted to do was burrow into my jacket and go to sleep. the people at the vet really liked him and the one girl keeps saying "if only i didn't have too many dogs already."

when he got home he was over the moon because he was so happy to see . . . . Daddy Tucker! It was like they hadn't seen one another in a month, LOL!

He's also thrilled to death to see Doc, but I can't let them interact much because Doc is really rough with the pup and I'm afraid he'll paw the stitch out of his eye or something!

Erin, thanks for explaining. Button looks really good! Did you give him extra loving and treats for being such a good boy?

no problem! i'm pretty open to questions about such things, no big deal at all!

of course! he has a nice stuffed kong in his crate and a marrow bone with some peanut butter to keep him quiet and happy. and i let him fall asleep in our bed last night for a bit of extra comfort (and so i could make sure he wasn't rubbing his eye or his stitches!).

proudmommy77 has the one, and she's been posting photos and updates from time to time, and i know she has him listed in the rescue section of the board.

for a while, i didn't hear anything about sonny, puppy#3, because i didn't know who had him (it was a friend of otis' but i didn't have her contact info). but she actually found me and emailed me last week, out of the blue, asking about training classes for her pup.

she says he's doing great, but it sounds like he's rambuntious and needs to learn manners. so i gave her some info on a local trainer here.

she also sent me photos, but i didn't want to post them till i ask her if it's OK with her. but the pup looks great, he's a very cute little thing, kind of a chocolate brindled boy with a white blaze on his chest. he gets neutered on march 9 at the MDSPCA.

so all's well as i understand it . . . and will be even better when the perfect homes for the boys can be found!

I'm so glad he is doing well. He is just too cute :inlove: I've never had a dog with cherry eye. will he get it in his other eye too?
