Grendel Ate Chocolate, Induce vomiting?

Postby starrlamia » Sat Apr 25, 2009 10:33 pm

He ate about a 4"x4" piece of chocolate bunny, he grabbed it from the table.. Ugh. He is about 40ish lbs

Im going to pick up some peroxide, but should I induce vomiting or wait and see?

Thanks guys!

If it's not dark chocolate it is probably okay.

Thanks guys!
It was milk chocolate and not as big of a piece as thought originally so he should be perfectly fine.

Funny side note: When my bf opened his mouth to try and retreive leftover chocolate he had an ant in there :P he is a mighty hunter hehe

So did you make him vomit any way, or you just going to let it pass?

Give Grendel a kiss from me and Alize. :)

nope no vomiting, i was at work and read a bunch of stuff, and had my boss call his gf who trains service dogs, so between you guys and her I decided that the amount he ate is too small to do him harm, he ate it about an hour ago and is still fine!

Yes, that shouldn't be enough to make him ill. He might have some diarrhea.

This thing is GREAT to have bookmarked:

Adjust the slide to your dog's weight, and it will tell you how much of each type of chocolate will affect him.

My dear Finnigan snuck a giant zucchinni, chocolate muffin slathered with thick chocolate icing out of a bag in my car  silly me!

He was fine....didn't even have the runny poops.
