Loki has parvo....

Postby Peneloki » Wed May 13, 2009 12:27 pm

I don't even know how I will get through typing this as I am so worried. Yesterday Loki started having diahrea and this morning it continued. I went to pick him up to try and get him to drink and he was burning hot.

We took him to the vet this morning and he tested positive. We spent alot of time with vet discussing everything. I am so worried for our baby. He is only four months. I was having a hard time talking to anyone on the phone because I kept getting hysterical. Please keep Loki in your prayers and send positive energy and thoughts our way. :teardrops: :teardrops: :teardrops: :teardrops:

Thank you very much, we will need it. We are about to take our other dog to the vet now for a vaccination. I really appreciate that, thank you. :frown:

oh no! every pet owner's nightmare.

how old his loki? has he been vaccinated against parvo in the past? if he's not a tiny baby and he's had a vax before, i believe he should be able to fight through this.

hang in there.

He'll probably be ok. I lost a pup several years ago to parvo. My parents dogs were four and five months at the time, and had also caught it. They recovered nicely.
