Hey Jess! Thank you so much for all the info and support you have given!
So, let me begin with his consultation this morning.
The surgeon called me and said that he had the condition in all for legs, not just the back. But no one else had done enough exam on him to tell, or should I say, didnt know what to look for.
So in short, he thought it could be three things. Disc issues, tumor or Wobblers Disease.
He suggested the myleogram and a CFC i think is what he called it. Basically shooting the dye, getting images and a spinal tap type deal.
We said ok, do it. We got to see Sonny beforehand and he was sooo excited!!
So they called us about an hour later to come back. We werent far, just right across the street TRYING to eat something.
So we went back, and proceeded to tell us EVERYTHING WAS FINE! No spinal issues, no disc issues, no tumors...NOTHING. Everything was as it should be, normal.
His diagnosis, FCE (Fibrocartilaginous Embolism). Which is what the inital doctor that it could be.
They are keeping him again tonight, obivously, since he is coming off the anaesthesia and they want to monitor to make so he has no seizures or anything. He should be able to come home tomorrow.
He should heal back up to 100% over the next several weeks and should be fine. And he said this shouldnt happen again.
Sooooo...can you say BLESSED, RELIEVED and THANKFUL!
We truly appreciate everyones thoughts and prayers. But keep them coming, he still has to go through his recovery.
I still have a few questions for the Doc, but everything seems to be ok right now...day by day, right?!

Oh THANK GOODNESS! I am so relieved for all of you.
When Doc experienced his symptoms the first time around they suspected either disc disease or spinal stroke, which I believe is the same as what Sonny was diagnosed with, right?
I remember researching it and heard a lot of success stories about dogs making a full recovery.
I'll be keeping you and Sonny in my thoughts and hoping for easy healing!

Well, the first night they said the FCE, then on Monday, they were saying disc diseases or other things that might cause spinal issues, like mengitis and such. Then they were leaning towards some type of neurological issues.
We are still waiting on the spinal fluid results, but the doctor says its very unlikley that something will come back on it.
