Got my girl spayed today, have a question?

How long was the initial recovery time. She has been laying in bed sleeping since we picked her up. She cant even stand up on her own yet. She tires but nothing goes limb. Doc said they are usually active by pick up time but looked ok and just keep an eye on her.

Sometimes it takes a while for the anesthesia to get out of their system. Just like people, it affects different dogs differently. One of my females was like your girl, one was up and at 'em right away. Don't worry, she'll be her usual bouncy self in no time.

My girl slept a whole day and acted miserable. The next day she was back to her crazy self!

I had my two puppies neutered/spayed a couple of weeks ago. They both wanted to jump and play the second I got them home. I had to keep them crated so they wouldn't rip the stitches (actually some sort of glue).

bella slept for most of the night when i pick her up, she barely ate or did much of anything, after about 2 days she was back to normal though, it was a pain stopping her from jumping off everything...
