Lars is having surgery
After much waiting, and hoping, and medicating, Lars ended up needing exploratory surgery. He's lost 3lbs and wouldn't eat his food or meds this morning and has just been terribly, terrible miserable. I have no money so I have no idea how this is going to be paid for. I got a $50 grant from the Humane Society. Every bit helps. The vet said they will work with me but we'll see what that means. The emergency funds I had for him were all eaten up by the scoping and meds and overnight stay.
Either way, he is having the surgery and hopefully will get better and better from here on out. Wish him and I luck and I will post updates as I get them from the vet. Thank you!! My poor little guy.

Thanks
I just got a call from the vet! He only had to make one cut into the intestines, and there was only one foreign body in there! Therefore, Lars will heal up quicker and it won't cost me as much. I am so excited that it went good and to get him start feeling better! I can;t wait to have my happy puppy back! Thanks

Thanks so much you guys! I brought Lars home and the transformation already, is like a complete turn around! Yesterday he acted like he was dying and today he came whipping around the corner when I picked him up! He is happy again and eating a bunch of little meals throughout the day like a little piglet!! He gets his staples removed in 10 days and then we can go for walks and play again! Now the challenge is keeping him relatively calm for 10 days
! I am SOOO happy he is finally ok!

Believe me keeping them calm after surgery is the hardest part next to waiting on that call from the vet to tell you how it went. Even my twelve year old Chow was a hand full after having to relax for two weeks, he had to have a big ol sack of toys and goodies to chew on to keep him from going bonkers in his crate.
