Hurt Foot

Postby lilpitjade » Tue Jul 07, 2009 12:49 pm

Well, the wife and i went to take the dogs for a walk last night, and out of no where our boy just cried. He doesnt ever cry, so it was weird, we were not far from home, so we walked back and he limped home. when we got home he tried to jump up on the couch, and he cried again. we looked at his foot and couldnt find any slivers, cuts or anything and he didnt lick it either. the wierd thing is, we would squeeze his foot all over all the way up his leg, every toe, to see what was really hurting him, and nothing no yelps no pulling back, or anything. im thinking he is babying it but dont know what is going on anyone have any thoughts? TIA

Hmmm, maybe a sliver or pokey? If it continues I think you should check with a vet, poor lil fella I hope he feels better soon!!

Puppies are more sensitive, and more willing to limp than older dogs. I'd get him to the vet if he doesn't look better tomorrow.

Maybe a foxtail? I've heard those can cause some major pain in dogs. Or maybe he sprained his foot? Only a vet could tell you for sure. Good luck! I hope he feels better!!!

A foxtail is a weed, http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3110/259 ... 67562f.jpg

I would just take him in if he ccontinues to baby it. Better safe than sorry.
