Different Size Pupils

Postby urbanwolf » Wed Jul 15, 2009 9:46 pm

Hi guys,

When I was cuddling with Mojito just now I noticed that one of his pupils was super dialated and the other was normal. He and Genevieve will rough house and he likes to headbutt my futon or the filing cabinets when he bounces around with her. He is acting normal otherwise. Should I rush him to a vet or wait till tomorrow and see if it gets better?

As long as his eye isn't red or irritated it can probably wait until morning. If his eye is red, ER vet now.

Have you ever had his vision tested? Fiona's pupils are almost always different - she's only got partial vision in one eye, and it just lets in a different amount of light than the other does.

No, and normally his pupils are the same size. And the size difference was extreme. I should have taken a picture of them. He is acting normal still and didnt seem to have any issues seeing. I should probably get him tested just to make sure. :)
