Followup-Sullys dew claw

Postby cecollins » Sat Oct 03, 2009 9:16 am

Looks like Sully is scheduled for dew claw removal on Tuesday, OCt 6th. I am nervous cause he has never had surgery, since I adopted him.
The good thing, is my vet will let me be there when he wakes up, so he wont be so scared.
I am hoping he will be all better by next Sat, the 10th when we are doing his temperment test!!!!

Please send good wishes on Tues to Sully!!!!

Good luck!

After Dover's was removed, he was back to normal right after the anesthetic wore off. He never even knew it was removed. The worst part to him, was the cone and the bandage.

Make sure to keep an eye on the sutures though. Make sure that he doesn't, lick or rip them out. Even with a cone on, Dover somehow got his out, and developed a small infection in the wound. It was easy enough to take care of though.
