At least you now know what has been going on, and are able to make the best decision for your sweet girl.

Again, I am so sorry you are going through this. It sounds like she has had a wonderful life with your family. I recently lost my senior boy to cancer and know how tough it is. As heart breaking as it will be for you, I hope you find peace in the fact that you able to provide her with relief.

You all will be in my thoughts.

Thanks to all. It has been a rough day and few weeks. My wife and I are planning on spending the day with her tomorrow and then taking her in Wed morning to be put down. I am kind of relieved, I kept thinking this was because of the baby coming home and feeling guilt about how we were going to handle it. At least I know it was just in the cards.

I feel comfort in knowing this dog has had the best life I think it ever could have received. Thank you all for your kind words, now if this grown man could only stop crying.....

I hope you will be able to draw some strength/comfort from this.
I am so very sorry, stay strong for her sake.

If it should be that I grow weak,
And the pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle cannot be won,
You will be sad, I understand,
Don't let your grief then stay your hand,
For this day more than all the rest,

We've had so many happy years,
What is to come can hold no fears,
You'd not want me to suffer so,
The time has come to let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll attend,
And please stay with me until the end,
I know in time that your will see me,
The kindness what you have done for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

Please do not grieve, it must be you,
Who had this painful thing to do,
We've been so close, we two, these years,
Don't let your heart hold back it's tears.

Many hugs
you will both be in my prayers.

I am so very sorry. *hugs*

Know that many of us have been through this same heartbreak here on this forum and we will be here when/if you need to talk. Cancer is so very unfair. *huge hugs*
