Ms Kitty had surgery today...

Postby KadillacGrrl » Mon Apr 12, 2010 7:36 pm

She's had a small (pencil eraser) lump on her rib/shoulder area... and last week it opened up. The vet wanted to take it off, so we did that today. It's a HUGE suture line... I understand the need for cutting everything out that they can, but man. he's no plastic surgeon!

So, please send all your "it's nothing serious" vibes. He said it can be a histiocytoma, cyst of some sort, or mast cell. Let's hope for one of the benign thingies. I should know by the end of the week.

Good thoughts and crossed fingers that it's something harmless!

Oooh, I was expecting something bad... thats not bad in the grand scheme of things!! And once her hair grows back, chances are good you'll have to look closely for any sign of the previous surgery.

Seemed fine... she's not really even limping. I'll see if she's sore tonight. I did give her a Rimadyl last night just to help her have a good night sleep.
