Oh, Hoss...I don't know what to do.

Sending my very best wishes and positive vibes to you and Hoss. I think about you both often and pray you have many, many GOOD days.

Give our Hossman a big smooch and here is a  for you.

Hoss is already on borrowed time, and I think seeing what else is going on with him will just cause more stress on my end. I already know he is in pain. Even if he does have hip dysplasia, arthritis, whatever...it wont make a difference in what has to be done with him.

We discussed Metacam, and frankly, its out of my budget. For the size bottle I would need, and the amount Hoss would need every day, I'd be looking at about $300 a month just on that. My vet suggested Previcox to me, he said I could combine it with the Gabapentin. I'm trying that for now.

Best of luck. I hope the new meds help.

Its only been a couple days, but I swear I'm already seeing a difference after adding the Previcox to the Gabapentin. He seems happier and last night he didn't cry in his crate. I almost feel bad, because with all the meds he is taking he's got to be flying about as high as a kite, but he is still enjoying himself.

Awwwh, Happy Hoss :)

It may be small progress, but it sounds like good progress.

Ohhh I'm so glad to hear that!! Hopefully he will continue to feel better.

As long as he's feeling good, nothing wrong with him being high as a kite! lol

He's doing really well. No crying in the crate for the past couple nights, which makes me so happy.
