small lump

Postby Bandits_Mom » Sun Aug 01, 2010 10:02 pm

My dog has a small pea sized lump at the top of his back leg...about an inch and a half from his spine...probaly at the top of his thigh bone. He had two shots 5 days ago when he cut his paw. Anestheia and penicillan. I don't know if that is where he gave the shots (thought they were more in the muscle of the leg) and if so if there would still be a lump there. Should I make an appointment? It is hard and it don't bother him when I touch it. After reading everyone's stories about lumps...I have learned that it could be bad...which it is a good thing that I have learned alot in my short time on the forum and won't over look things like this...but I may just be being paranoid?? Thanks for all your help.

Call your vet and ask if that was an injection site. If not, have it checked out. I hope it is just a vaccine reaction :)
