Nasal Cancer

Postby sophieguinness » Wed Oct 27, 2010 2:04 pm

After about 6 weeks of going back and forth to the vet, we've found that our (8yr?) pitbull Guinness has nasal cancer. At first, he was diagnosed with a sinus infection. We had been able to control the nosebleeds with steroids, however we were up all night trying to calm Guinness and clean up his intermittent nosebleeds. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with nasal cancer before and if anyone could offer any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I believe there are a couple members who have been through this. I'll see if I can find a link for you. I don't think they recover from this-spend your time wisely.

Here's the most recent. I know that Rain (the dog the thread is about) had a tumor on her nose...but not sure if that counts as nasal cancer as it wasn't in her nose, it was on it.

I'd pay particular attention to mpetva2's post-lost of good looking info.

I have a cat with nasal lymphoma. Not sure how that equates to the same in a dog.
