Why do dogs eat grass?

yeah...my dog loves to eat grass and sometimes i see a flake of grass in his eye ball!!!!
how does something get in ur eye ball ??? it was just floating around in his eye.....but he was calm about me putting my fingers in his eyes to take it out....

heh... in my house the cat's pan is behind a cat-door in the (closed) bathroom door... i totally flipped out once when Luna gave me litter-breath kisses so my husband fixed that little problem
