OFA Hips - GOOD

Postby apbtgurl » Thu Feb 17, 2011 5:58 pm

It's been awhile since I've had the time to post but I had to share the great news. My boy, ADBA CH El Cuco, now on co-own w/ a friend in LA, is OFA Hips - GOOD and Legg-Calve-Perthes was NORMAL. Had him x-rayed before leaving to ensure he was suitable for weight pull before going after his ACE title. He still has patellas, cardiac, and CERF yet to do but I'm happy none-the-less.

A few weeks ago my girl BJ was NORMAL for cardiac and her patellas.

Hey, that's great. I'm so happy to see more of the ADBA dogs getting x-rayed. You've probably x-rayed most of them. Another reason for UKC to open back up single registration again. How about pictures and pedigree, for the idly curious?

Thank you Leslie. I get more excited to get the health test paperwork from the OFA than I do my title certificates from the registeries. lol

Below are some of those that have been health tested:
ADBA CH Tee & Cee's El Cuco - OFA Hips - GOOD, Legg-Calve-Perthes - Normal
Pedigree: http://apbt.online-pedigrees.com/module ... _id=328786
OFA link (hips aren't on the database yet): http://www.offa.org/display.html?appnum=1455389#animal

Rads (taken w/ my cell phone...poor quality):

ADBA CH Narnia - OFA Hips - GOOD, Elbows - Normal
(Dam to BJ - she is now in PA w/ Dan where she will be shown in the CH of CH class and start on weight pulling. She'll then be spayed...one litter is enough.)
Pedigree: http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/mo ... _id=195566

Little B - OFA Hips - EXCELLENT, Elbows - Normal, Patellas - Normal
(titled in WP and will be shown ADBA in conformation and working towards ACE title this year)

Little Bo-Jeep - OFA Cardiac - Normal, Patellas - Normal (Hips to be done once she is two years of age)
Pedigree: http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/mo ... _id=171193
OFA link: Submitted but not yet on website

Catarina: - OFA Cardiac (Patellas and hips forthcoming as she is now two years of age and will start weight pull training contingent on the results of her x-rays)
Pedigree: http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/mo ... _id=236122
OFA link: http://www.offa.org/display.html?appnum=1402808#animal (Her name is owned by my ex, SBK, who does not believe in health testing. I had to take her to the vet for an emergency so while I was there we had cardiac and patella exams.)

Sorry so long winded. lol

I also plan on doing CERF exams. My boy ADBA CH Garner's Beaner passed his on Breeder's Option (which to me is a fail) so that heightened my awareness and need to CERF them all too.

Correction:

With Catarina it should have read OFA Cardiac - Normal. And her dam not "name" is owned by my ex. (Half asleep...sorry)

Nice! Wish more ADBA dogs would get on the bandwagon..... hopefully that will come. Seems like the UKC will, eventually, have to open the books for a bit to breed the Pit Bull back in

Thanks. Kuru and Heavy's owners (Narnia's offspring) will be health testing theirs so there goes two more ADBA dogs in the database. :)
