worms

Postby LouDiamondz » Fri Feb 25, 2011 8:14 pm

buddah (2 days away from 9 weeks) got dewormed on the 19th of feb. the next few days he pooped out a couple bigger worms and a few small ones. they stopped coming out in his poop 3 or 4 days after getting dewormed. i gave him the heart worm etc pill they gave me to give him once a month, and now today he pooped out 2 decent sized worms. how long could this last for? should i take him to get checked? hes due for his 2nd set of shots around the 2nd week in march do i wait it out? thanks

He should continue to be dewormed every 2 weeks (dewormer or heartworm pill) until he is 16 weeks of age.

Most puppies are born with heavy loads of worms and it takes several dewormings to break the cycle.

Get rid of the poop too, to avoid reinfection. Parasitic worms are so gross!
