Cat Food

Vicki has been getting out of her kennel. Yesterday she jumped the wall (about 4 ft.). I reinforced the top of the wall with some 2x4's set really close together (obviously not close enough) she jumped up again, wiggled through them and got out again today.

Both days she has gotten into the cat food (2 full dishes. Each dish has about 3/4 a cup of food in them) and eaten it all. Can eating this amount of cat food do any damage to her? I've heard eating it can cause ear infections and the protein content can blow their kidneys. Anybody have any info on this?

Only from personal experience (not medical information). Ruby has eaten plenty of cat food, it usually gives her gas and maybe loose poop. Cat food is much richer than dog food, but a few cups won't do any lasting damage.

Ruby ate about 3 pounds once, I just skipped her next two meals and made sure she had plenty to drink.

No harm done.
