Humphrey's Poor Butt

Postby MetaMuffin » Sat Apr 09, 2011 6:03 pm

A few weeks ago, I got a great deal on chicken backs from the butcher. Unfortunately, these backs had very little meat on them, which turned Humphrey's poop into pokey chalk. We've since corrected his meals, poop is normal, but his butt is very irritated. He's licking it constantly, which is making the problem worse. I'm guessing he's going to need a cone to keep him from bothering his behind, but is there anything I can put on his butt itself? Antibiotic, anti-itch? It's for sure not anal glands, nor is it parasites.

Thanks in advance. I'll do anything to stop being woken up by "SLURP, SLURP, SLURP." :crybaby:

I'm giving this a bump. Everything is looking a bit better today; I hope it stays that way.
