Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes for my girl. A little happier update this evening. My SO stayed with her till I got home from work. Her little tail was waggin', but still a sad face.

No noticeable drooling. She just ate a little bit and is now snoring in her cage. She must be tuckered out. She hasn't vomited, so I'm praying that taking is slow and easy this week she will recover.

She doesn't gobble her food or drink her water quickly. She wasn't playing or exercising before she got sick. I don't understand how she developed a huge bloated stomach. The vet did mention that bloat can be hereditary and once they have bloat chances are likely it will happen again  My wallet nor nerves can handle that!

I think I lucked out this time and noticed her symptoms early enough to avoid surgery.

PBF sure helps all of us through the tough times! Thanks again !!

Did she eat any veggies like broccoli/kale/brussles sprouts/ cauliflower?
Those are very gassy plants and can cause severe gas problems in animals. Usually it takes a good amount to cause problems, but it differs from dog to dog.

Bloat is one of those things where we really don't know the cause all of the time.

Unless it was a dietary issue, chances are very good it will happen again.

So far so good. They vet called to ask how she was doing and did say there is a chance for reoccurence. Oh Yeah

Final diagnosis on her paperwork Aerophagia (swallowing air is called aerophagia)

Insert dumb question here -- same thing as bloat?

She did not have any gassy food substance, any new food or treats.

Have ordered a Brake Fast bowl even though she doesn't gobble her food and am considering switching to a home cooked diet instead of kibble.
