Merrick Pet Care's Before Grain Food

We just switched our dogs over to Taste of the Wild and when we went to the Pet Store today there was a lady handing out information and free samples of BG (Before Grain).

Dog Food Analysis or whatever the site is gave it 5 stars.

What do you guys think of this food? How is it when compared to other foods (ie. TOTW)? Have you had experience with it?

I have never fed it because of the price here but it seems like an excellent food.

i feed it to my cats and they all do really well on it.

I used to feed it to the dogs, but Couda was getting bad tear stains on it. All mine are currently on TOTW and doing well!

I fed it to all of my dogs and cats for years, and only switched because the pet store where I prefer to spend my money doesn't carry it. One of my former foster dogs did really well on it, he had food allergies and the Buffalo version was one of the only foods he could eat without breaking out in hives. I liked it because you could rotate proteins without having to do a drawn out process of mixing the foods. My cats did great on it, healthy weight, soft and shiny coat.

I used it for my cat for awhile, she did well on it, better than most kibbles although I've switched her to raw/canned now.

I fed it to my cats for a good while, they loved it and did well on it, but everyone is on TOTW now for cost reasons.

Hmm! Maybe I will consider it! Just switched them to TOTW so I will see how they do on that first!

They now have a before grain pork formula thats chicken free!
