Ganglion Cyst

Roscoe's got a Ganglion Cyst on his wrist, from jumping over the gate, and it's been there since this winter. The vet who did his knee surgery told me what it was and that it should heal on its own, but it seems like it's gotten larger since Roscoe has recovered from the knee surgery and can chase tennis balls again. Do you think I should have it checked again, maybe aspirated to make sure that's what it really is?

Defintiely wouldn't hurt! If it's bothering him, it should be removed sooner rather than later.

Surgery is scheduled for next Monday, she thought it should be removed. Poor little booger, two surgeries in one year.

I know the feeling! Buddy was sedated or under a full GA at least three times last year. It's scary but each procedure was neccessary.

He had the surgery yesterday and he's doing fine. We're calling him lobster boy, he has big bandages on both his front feet. I hope he'll be able to go the whole two weeks without chewing them up. He has his donut on and I have some bitter apple I could put on the bandages if he starts chewing on them. The vet said the large cyst was really difficult to get out since it was so entwined with the tendons in his wrist, I hope I did the right thing having her remove it.
