Last night Sadie came in from a game of fetch rubbing her eye. Pulled open the eyelid and found a grass seed embedded in the inside of the lower lid. It was actually embedded in the tissue and needed to be pulled out by tweezer. Flipping grass seeds.
The next morning her eye was still weepy and I saw her rub it with her paw again so I called the vet and made an appt. It was very obvious was the green dye was put in that she has a corneal ulcer. You definitely didn't need to use the magnifying lens to see it.
This was taken when we got home from the appt.
This was a few hours later. Still pretty obvious to the naked eye.
So now she's on some pain meds and antibiotics - and has to wear the cone of shame so she doesn't rub the eye
The vet said she can still rock the flyball practice - good thing cause we have a tournament coming up!
Poor baby. Sucks to be Sadie.
