So my new dilemma is this - poor Chyna-dog has not pooped since at least 6:30 Tuesday night and I'm getting a little concerned. We have an appt. with Dr. Nancy on Saturday for shots, tests, etc., but at much as I've been around dogs I've never had THIS issue come up. Usually I want them to STOP pooping,
. I'm wondering if it's because maybe he hasn't eaten in awhile and it's going to take his system some time to catch up with the food I've given him. But my thinking was just the opposite, that he would have to go as soon as I fed him because his stomach wasn't used to having food in it.I know pumpkin is supposed to be a natural laxative so I was going to go home at lunchtime and give him some of that. But does anyone know how long it takes to work? I don't want to give it to him for lunch if I'm going to get home at 6 and find a disaster,
.
Anyone have a clue? Thanks!
