Question concerning old age incontinence

Hi PBF!! Wow it has been soooooo long since I posted on here.

The dogs are doing really well. Kheops is now 12 and Xena is around 14 or 15. My babies are getting old!! My question is about Xena in particular. She is doing really well for her age but some days she just can't hold on til we get home.

We've come home to find 2 accidents this week, one on our bed!! She feels so guilty about it, poor little thing. We try to make sure someone comes by at regular intervals to let her out, but that is not possible everyday.

So my question is there anything that can be done about this? Any ideas would be great. If not I'll just invest in a whole lot of mops I guess!

Have a urinalysis done to ensure it's not a UTI. Consider some geriatric bloodwork to make sure her kidneys are okay. If everything comes back clear, your vet can prescribe some stilbesterol or propalin.

Brina has been on Propalin for almost a year now because of her spay incontinence. It works for her But yes, make sure it's not a UTI first as Allison said

PS Hi Saška!! I'll try and upload some photos of my sweeties soon. They have aged quite a bit in appearance, Xena especially but she is still young at heart. Hope your dogs and your fosters are doing great!
