Here's a more coherent update. I visited her this morning.
Spleen weighed 6 pounds. He said it did some weird thing he had never seen - it was coiled around itself like a snake. Did the initial incision and then had to increase it just to get it out. He said it was at least 4 feet long, maybe longer.
I can pick her up tomorrow.
Pathology should be back from the lab by Monday but he checked her liver, kidneys, lymph nodes and didn't see anything weird. He is thinking that it may be hemangiosarcoma, but if it is contained in the spleen, the prognosis is better. Still not good on top of the Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and the HIMA, but better.
She also received a full transfusion during and after the surgery.
