Bootleg's pathology results came back and she has lymphosarcoma. At least now we know why she has IMHA.

The vet's office wants to do chemotherapy and are working on protocols for the treatment. They say it can give me 6-8 more months with her, assuming she tolerates the chemo well.

Ugh. :crybaby:

I don't usually peek into this section anymore but I did today and saw this.

I am so sorry Jena, she is adorable- I am so glad she is with you and has known so much love after such hell.

I too hope for many more nights of snuggling- her curled into a ball is about the cutest thing I have seen.

I know that we don't have very much time left together, but I swear, this girl doesn't know she's sick. She apparently feels so much better without the spleen that it's like she has a new lease on life. I've caught her on the dining room table, twice. The last time to steal a toy that sueb sent me for a toy drive I was doing for shelter dogs. She shredded 2 "Kings" into a million little foamy pieces. And today she had zoomies for the first time in my presence.

I am just going to keep loving her to the best of my ability and make sure she takes her leave from this world in a much better state than she entered it. She will be loved and pampered until the end.
