It is highly unlikely your dog contracted rabies - rabies vaccines need to be done every 1 to 3 years based on local law, not based on vaccine becoming ineffective - rabies vaccines have actually been proven to be effective for a minimum of 7 years.

HOWEVER, that doesn't matter if you do not keep up to date with rabies and your dog inflicts a bite on a human, as has been stated - you're dog would pay with his life.

Take this as a lesson learned, never make the mistake again and move on. Nothing more you can do.

Very true. Just because local laws require 3yr vaccinations doesn't mean it just stops working in that time frame. It's like a "best if used by" date on certain foods. If it says best if used by dec 23 it's not like it will kill you if you eat it on the 24th. If your vaccine is only a few moths over due your dog should be fine. I wouldn't stress it.

What advice are you looking for? You seemed worried about rabies-your vet and plenty of people here have said it's unlikely. Your dog wasn't UTD on shoots-you took care of that. You were worried about your dog getting sick-a couple of people have told you likely why it happened. The other dog wasn't injured and the owner apologized...what else are you looking for? Typically the members here feel very strong about NOT going to dog parks and can get pretty pissed about it. People have gone out of their way to be reasonable with you on your choice. The only thing left is to strongly suggest you stay away from the park, share their personal stories of why and point you in the direction of good info. There is a dig park sticky here that goes into detail about why it's a bad idea. There are plenty of resources on here about how to safely socialize your dog. Stop being so sensitive and seeing everything as an attack/jab at you. Read what's here and learn from your mistake.
