Hot Spots or Calluses?

Postby bellasmom » Wed Jan 04, 2012 8:59 am

Good Morning :)
I did some searching in the forums for this, but am not totally sure what I am dealing with.
The other day I noticed a few bare spots on Bella, they are not hot, nor do they seem to be painful to her and don't have a foul smell. But are missing fur and she bites at them on occasion, a few are rough in touch and others are not ... hotostream ... hotostream

She doesn't really show any signs of allergies aside from the snorting when she goes outside and sniffs the ground, and has been eating Science Diet (i kept her on this for the time being since this is what the shelter had her on).

I did buy a Betadine treatment lastnight, but have not put any on her yet until I am sure of what I am dealing with.

Looks like a callus to me, but I'm looking at the pictures on my phone.

Are they on the elbow area?

Looks like a callous to me. You could try some coconut oil.
