I didn't read through all of the complaints, but I have an allergy dog that I've fed NB venison and potato for a long time. A while back they added pea protien and I wasn't sure if it would affect her so looked around for another food for her. I found the nutro grain free was similar, had pea protein but was a few dollars cheaper so started using that. She handled it fine. A few months ago there was a sale on the NB, bought a bag, fed it to her, by the end of the bag her nails have become very brittle (never had this problem with her, she is 7yrs old) so I am switching back to the nutro
