that made me cry seeing her home and safe
her tail is going so fast at the end it is blurry in the video-surprised she didn't take off like a helicopter
Sadie isn't well
Re: Sadie isn't well
I just saw this! I'm so glad she's recovering well and that you caught everything in time. She's one of my favorite monsters here on PBF, so I'm really happy for good news.

Re: Sadie isn't well
it's official. Sadie is feeling better. She found her (old, tore up, but working) ball. Now the real fun of forcing her to rest begins.

Re: Sadie isn't well
Glad to see the pretty girl back home and safe. Have fun with the resting period.

Sadie doesn't look like she wants to rest.
Good luck!
I am glad she's feeling so much better.

Re: Sadie isn't well
Wow, just saw this thread... held my breath through the whole thing until I saw she is feeling better.
That is the ONE major thing that terrifies me about the breeds, they are so stoic and hide pain so well. I always feel if Rocky is a little "off" that it could be a sign of major pain.
So glad she is home and feeling a little better, keep us posted!
Hugs and kisses for Sadie!

Re: Sadie isn't well
A little video I just took of Sadie. Feeling better. Sleeping less (which is a bummer), more active and alert, hungry ALL THE TIME ... basically she's very very close to being normal. Aside from the massive amount of staples on her abdomen, of course.
Here's a video of her pleading with me to throw the ball. She's good at making you feel bad for her. Tough life.

Weighed Sadie this morning. She has gained 1.3 lbs in 3 days. We have about 2-2.5 pounds left to go!

Incision site 5 days post surgery.

Re: Sadie isn't well
That incision looks gerogous. Nice and clean, no exudate and any swellling has gone down. Still has some irritation at the staple sites, but that's expected with her moving around.

Re: Sadie isn't well
She swallowed a 5" rib bone. As to HOW she managed a 5" rib bone is a mystery to me.
Re: Sadie isn't well
I'm glad she's feeling better. You know I named my puppy Sadie because of your girl
and how she's my favorite.
and how she's my favorite.
