On vet's recommendation, I give 1 mg 3 to 4 nights a week to Otis. He has extreme anxiety when the sun goes down, appears to be quite afraid of creatures outside. The melatonin definitely calms him. I give it to him about an hour before dusk. No apparent side affects and he is rested and ready to play in the morning.
