Green Eye Discharge

Hey guys!

My foster Lobo has had green eye funk the past 2 days.
He has been vaccinated, and is healthy otherwise. It looks like "sleep" in his eye , but its greenish and more than normal.

At first I thought it was from the ACE that I gave him one night during the storms we had. I thought man he really slept good last night...all that sleep in his eyes.

Today my sister mentioned distemper. I completely forgot of the eye discharge symptom. I am freaking outtt. He has all of his shots. He has a vet appt. Wednesday morning to figure things out for sure.
He is behaving fine, eating, drinking...

Anything else it could be? Say prayers yall.

Small amounts of green or yellow eye gunk can be a simple eye infection. My guys get them occasionally, and I usually just treat with a little terramycin or other antibiotic ointment. If he's had his shots, an eye infection is more likely than distemper. Wouldn't hurt to get a vet check though!

Yep, I agree with Savage Destiny. It's likely just a simple eye infection. Keep us posted!

Peanut has had that twice, July last year and June this year. Cleared right up after getting antibiotic eye drops. Peanut got hers both times after going swimming every day for a couple of weeks at a friend's pool. Go to vet.

He DID figure out how to swim in the river days prior. It was an infection. almost allll cleared up

So glad he is doing better!!!! Those eye drops work fast - just remember to keep using them the entire time the vet said to.
