Hair growth

Postby Enigma » Tue Feb 11, 2014 3:30 pm

So it's been almost a year since Brina's laryngeal paralysis surgery and the hair on her neck still hasn't grown back. Her hair always grew back after surgeries and she's been shaved a lot over the years. But this time her neck is still completely bald. Weird.

Are there any supplements I could give her to promote hair growth?

Thanks!

The only thing I can think of is salmon oil, since it is good for fur and skin, but I don't know about making the fur grow back. Do they have Rogaine for dogs?

Yes, I was thinking of salmon oil as well.

Maybe vitamin E? That is supposed to be good for healing and hair growth too.

Yup, tried salmon oil, coconut oil. olive oil, flaxseed oil... Nothing really made a difference. :( The vets just say that hair sometimes grows back and sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why this time it didn't grow back. It's weird, we removed a couple of lumps four months earlier than her laryngeal paralysis surgery and the hair from that surgery grew back in, but her neck is still bald.
