Red Bumps on Body

Hello all!

Roxy is 11 years old and in the past year, I notice that she started to develop red bumps on her body. They would start as small pimples and progressively get bigger and bigger. It seems like it's not causing her any pain, however, there is some blood and discharge from time to time.

I brought her to the vet and they said if it's not bothering her, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm hoping that somebody on the forums has seen this before - any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would take Roxy to another vet for a second opinion better safe than sorry. Since they ooze blood sometimes that would make me nervous.

Have you used the search function under the quick links to find other postings in the Health Section regarding "red bumps".

Keep us posted on Roxy.

take a look at this link http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm ... 11&aid=424

I would also get a second opinion. certainly a biopsy is in order. looks to me like perhaps basal cell tumors? slow growing common in older dogs, recovery good but need treatment. http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/he ... tumor.aspx
