swifter & liver failure

Postby addy's daddy » Tue Jun 08, 2004 12:03 pm

Just a warning to anyone cleaning their floors with one of those swifter wet jet floor mops.

The cleaner is only one ingredient away from ANTI-FREEZE.

There have been multiple reports of liver failure in dogs and cats. Please watch out for this crap.

i'll try to dig up the link, my wife has it and told me about it last night. Just wanted to get the warning out.

be careful

It's not true... It's one of those silly 'internet urban legends'... This came up not too long ago.

Swiffer away! It's safe! :)

Yup, it's simply not true. While it is somewhat molecularly "similar" to anti-freeze, its nowhere near the same thing. A slight difference in elements, compounds, etc. makes for completely different things, even if they look relatively similar on paper. BTW, your pup is beautiful :inlove:
