OMG! That is terrible! That poor mama dog! Those poor babies....

I am trying to talk my friends out of breeding their boxers, and I'm going to share this with them...

I can't believe people can be so selfish, and irresponsible..

I saw this post from another thread, and felt it needs to be bumped.

That is horrible. :frown: I am glad that Mom and the remaining pups are ok. This just reinforces my anger towards back yard breeders..... :po:

I agree with everyone else, this should be made into a sticky.....

Sticky.
I have a photo of dead puppies from a foster mama we had, she started labor at the dog pound and I had to bring her home but she "held on" for two more days before becoming septic.
Amazingly, she was around 30lbs., had 11 puppies of whom 6 died, Dead Dog Walking placed the rest, and she didn't need a c-section which was a miracle, all things considered.
She got septic from the dead puppies inside her.
Not for the faint of heart...

Sticky? Heck I wish it was handed out with each puppy sold, each dog rehomed, etc.

Poor momma, glad she received attention, even if it was almost too late.
Painful to think of all the ones that don't...

Vote for sticky here too

I was taking care of a friends English Bulldog for about a year..I use to take her everywhere with me .. one day I was at the park watching a dog show from a local group.. I was there 1 hour and 4 breeders approached me about breeding Hilary... they were offering me THOUSANDS of dollars to breeder her because she had many characteristics that had been breed out of the local stock.. she had a good neck.. ears longer tail etc.. Not my dog I told them no but how pushy they were.. . well hilary had to go to the vet and I was telling him about the experience.. he said this breed can not breed normally its all artificial insemination... he will not allow a natural birth they must be done by c-section and more dogs die on the table than survive.. that their shorter airways cause many issues during the operation.. now i know what she would have gone through.. I'm glad her daddy loved her enough to get her fixed... and not try and make a really fast buck off her...

Thank you for this can I save the pics ??.. you never know when someone needs a slap in the face from reality...
