Dog Cake Recipes per Request :)

Jada's mom asked for some doggie birthday cake recipes in the Gallery section. Here are 3 as recommended by my friend - she's an excellent cook and the proud owner of a rescued English Bully who has happily taste-tested these. Enjoy! :)

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup coarse Liverwurst
4 1/2 oz. jar of strained beef or veal with broth baby food
4 lg eggs
4 beef jerky snack for dogs broken into sm pieces
process cheese for garnish

mix flour & baking powder in Lg bowl, set aside
Beat oil, liverwurst, baby food & eggs together in medium bowl until smooth
Fold in beef jerky add to flour mixture, stir, spread batter in greased & foiled 8 inch round pan.
Bake @325 over for 50 minutes till cooked
Cool, put on platter cut pets name out of cheese slices & arrange on top of cake.

2 c water
1/4 c mashed banana
1/8 t vanilla
1 egg
2 T honey
3 c whole wheat flour
1 c dried banana
1/2 T baking powder

8 oz lo fat cream cheese
3 t carob powder
1 t vanilla

preheat oven 350

in bowl mix water, banana, vanilla, egg and honey
separate bowl, combine flour, dried banana and baking powder. mix thoroughly
add wet to dry and mix well
pour into 8 inch greased cake pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick in
center comes clean

frosting: beat all ingred in small bowl til smooth
spread on cake and decorate with crushed dried banana

Chicken Garlic Birthday Cake

1 chicken bouillon cube
1 cup Whole-wheat flour
2 cups Wheat germ
1/2 cup Cornmeal
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Minced garlic
2 cups water
vegetable oil spray -- Garlic Flavor
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Dissolve bouillon cube in warm water. Combine flour, wheat germ, cornmeal, eggs, oil, garlic and water. Spray two cake pans with garlic-flavored oil, and sprinkle with flour. Bake 50 minutes. After removing cake from oven, turn upside down and let cool.

MAKES two small cakes
