question on raw diets

Anybody have any input on steve's real food for dogs and cats??

I am thinking about putting the kids on it part time to start out. I am not confident enough with raw diets to prepare anything myself, let alone the time and money involved. This seems to be very well researched and of an excellent quality. They also have a freeze-dried formula, which appeals to me, the lazy owner.

If anyone has any info on this particular brand, or any other brand, that would be great. thanks for your help!

Steve's is a good product, the veggie percentage is a little high for my taste though. 60% meat, 40% veggies. You could certainly use it with another product though. There are two that feed real well and should be fairly easy to find. Nature's Variety Prairie and Breeders Choice Perfect Servings. They both are 90% meat and come in convenient easy to feed patties or medalions. Some dogs don't like the Steve's due to the high vegetable content, cat's............we don't sell much of it, they seem to prefer Amore.
