Eye Balls good for dogs?

Postby JeepinDog » Mon Apr 17, 2006 9:33 am

My family has a whole kid (baby goat) for Easter, and the parts that aren't cooked are given to me for Shadow. Can he eat the eye balls, or should I just throw them away. Usually I cook and eat the head, but this year I'm only cooking half and the other half will go to Shadow. I just started him on the Raw diet, so I'm not sure if eye balls are O.K. to give him.

I would think they would be fine. I found lamb to be pretty rich and gave my dogs the runs so you might want to keep an eye on their portion sizes.

I would say a dog could eat almost all of an animal, although they would bypass the bile (gallbladder) I believe, even in the wild.
