Plug-in Pest Control

Postby BudDog » Sat Aug 28, 2004 11:37 am

Hello,
I found a website that sells a plug in pest control. It says it gets rid of fleas, ticks, spiders, ants and etc...
Does anyone use one of these? Do they really work? We are having a big problem with bugs this year and I'm looking for something besides using a fogger or spray because of my kids and dogs.
Any info would be great.

I would just go with a popular product that has proved itself over and over by now, Frontline Plus. I found like 5 fleas on my dog few days ago, put some Frontline Plus on him and by next morning he was flea-free. :)

Pest Control

I know about all the other products but this plug-in pest thing says it will get rid of spiders and ants as well as fleas and ticks. It claims that it will cover 5,000 sqft total, this means house and most of my yard. I hate bugs and would love not to have spiders in my house. We live where there are ALOT of spiders. The thing is I don't have money to waste on this thing unless I know it really works. Doesn't look like anyone has heard about it or it does not do what it says. Oh, and it says it helps clean the air as well...sounds too good to be true... roflmao
We will see I guess. The Frontline thing sounds good but I have 3 dogs and that means alot of money and we have no real income right now so that will not work.

You're talking about those plug in electromagnet or ultrasonic pest replellents, right?

Pure crap, pure gimmick....nothing more. If it worked everyone would be using them and they wouldn't be trying to pawn them off in mail order catalogs and infomercials. The companies selling this crap have been warned by the FTC to quit making claims they can't back up with scienctific evidence.

Save your money and buy something proven to work.
