AHHHH PUPPPY LOST HIS TOOTH

i was looking at my puppies bed in his crate and there some blood marks and i thouht it was from after he ate because i put him in his crate for a second while i cleaned his bowls, but than i stepped on something sharp and its his tooth!
its hollow in the middle and i opened his mouth and theres a red root or something...
im gonna call the vet tomorrow but can anyone give me advice as of now?

I agree, sounds like he's losing his puppy teeth and getting his "big boy" choppers in. Nothing to worry about.

Hmmmm, he might have broken it on something. Which tooth? Canine or molar

Puppies often break their teeth off with no ill side effects. If he's that young and snapped it off at the gumline it would be best to see your vet just in case. I'd be somewhat leary of allowing them to knock him out and root around in there unless it was absolutely necessary. But that's just me and I'm a bit paranoid even though it's my line of work. But he might need antibiotics or removal if the tooth becomes a source of irritation or infection.

it was the canine he still has an appetite takes him a little longer to eat though

I bet his poor little mouth hurts. Vet visit definitely. Don't want him dealing with an infection.

Puppies lose their teeth like humans do...I remember when Xzar lost his.
I kept as many as I could find & put them in his photo album.

*sigh* I miss puppyhood - they grow up sooooo fast.
My Xzar is 1 1/2 now & weighs 75 lbs. - almost full grown. His teeth are quadruple the size of his puppy teeth.

called the vet she said it shouldn't be a problem, he still chews normall on toys on that side,
ill be visiting my vet in a couple days. thanks for the replies
