Peeing alot!!!

Postby KreeZ » Sun Aug 13, 2006 4:34 pm

Ok ,
Im not understanding his problem. Tigga has been peeing alot. By alot I mean more than usual. I usually take him after he eats, wakes up and plays but something has to be wrong. I take him out for about 10 minutes and he comes in a pees again! The other day he was laying next to me on the couch and he get up and to my surprize theres a wet spot. He usually squats but not this time. I wondering could this be a medical problem. He's killing my carpet!!!!! :po:

yes, this very much sounds like a medical problem
call your vet and see whether he should be seen or not.

Yea Im going to call first thing in the yawnin'. He's still happy tho, my girlfriend said that she took him out and he was leaking out before he was ready. I can always tell when he has to go because he always does the boy "puppy" squat? What could it be?

Sounds like a UTI possibly. Def. should see a vet, at least have a urinalysis done. IMO.

Here's a website talking about how painful they are and about collecting a sample before you go to the vet. http://www.vegsource.com/animal/concerns/messages/22595.html

Is he drinking a lot of water? Is the pee clear, or normal colored?

A UTI is still a possibility, but when the pee is clear that can also indicate diabetes or a metabolic disorder. How old is the dog? Has it been hot out, or any other reason for him to drink more water than usual?
