Homemade Doggie Treats?

Postby dopeychristy » Sat Oct 09, 2004 9:22 am

Any good suggestions on some recipes? I am starting to think it would be more cost effiecient if I could actually make my dogs some treats here.

I am looking for something like gnawing sticks of some sort.

Had a plan to use maybe a little oatmeal, flour and peanut butter then bake it for a long long time at a low temp. Think that would work? I just want something that they can enjoy for awhile and not gobble right up. Must be someway to make these. Chewies get quite expensive when you are buying for multiple dogs.

No, I haven't found one like that yet but my mother and I are putting our heads together to see what we can maybe come up with. If we are able to make something successful I will let ya know :)
