Bo smiled that pittie smile today! I've posted the pics on his dogster page. He was so happy today, all I want is for him to have good days and to be happy! We won't go through surgery again, my goal is to give him the best life possible for as long as I have him. He is such and awesome guy!

Thanks to y'all!

Hang in there Bo! My Boy Sherman has had 3 surgeries for mast cell tumors. Sherman has been on Chemo for the past few months but is doing really well. You are welcome to email me (margarettrujillo@gmail.com) if you have any questions! Concreterose was very helpful to me and had a wealth of information!

Love my Lucy, Bo's lump was a hard little movable knot on his left flank, about the size of a small peanut. I have a picture posted on his dogster page, it has black dots where he bled from having the needle biopsy done.

Margaret thank you for the kind offer. I won't do chemo or radiation for many reasons. I have done a ton of research and Bo's prognosis is the same with or without chemo/radiation. I am going to see if I can boost his immune system holistically since this is a cancer secondary to a weakened immune system, hence the mast cell. If I can boost this then the mast cells don't release histamine which in turn spreads the cancer. Chemo weakens the immune system further so I'm not willing to risk that, any other type of cancer and I might. Boy I could go on and on. It just sucks that our dogs even have to go through this!

I appreciate all of you for letting me use your shoulders!

thanks for theinfo...i read your dogster page...i just took monkey to the vet. he is going to have the cyst removed and biopsied wednesday. the vet says its hard to tell by just looking at it..he said it looks like MCT because it is so irritated looking, but he has irritated skin there anyway from allergies. so i wil have to wait and see and hope for the best!!
