Kato is beating cancer

Postby CinderDee » Sat Aug 25, 2007 2:43 am

Hi everyone,

Last Wed. night Kato started coughing and sounded like he had something stuck in his throat. I went over to take his collar off and his lymph nodes were huge. I checked the others and they were all enlarged too.
He went to the vet and has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. He had his first chemo treatment on Sunday and is doing very well.

I feel confident that he'll go into remission and I'll have much more time with him.

Here's a pic of him relaxing in his favorite bed, which is way too small for him! lol
(ignore the scrawny plant, it's from my Gecko enclosure.)

Had a cat with lymphoma, but was too late at that point - (vet was a little slow).

I wish Kato the fastest recovery/remission!!

Thanks so much everyone! Your good thoughts, prayers and wishes mean so much to us.

Misskiwi, the Oncologist didn't give me a name, but from the reading I've done I believe it's Madison Wisconsin Protocol. He goes for chemo again on Mon, so I can find out.

His first treatment was Elspar & Vincristine. His nodes were down by Monday. He did get sick Monday night, but has been fine since. He's also on Pred & Pepcid and has Flagyl & Reglan if he needs it.
