Not pooping or peeing?

Postby Chasesmom » Tue Sep 11, 2007 3:03 pm

Chase won't poop. I don't know if he is constipated or what. He hasn't eaten anything different and he pooped yesterday at the park but now won't go. Doesn't seem to have to pee either. He goes outside and plays and what not but doesn't go to the bathroom.

It's really annoying because then I have to be worried about him going on the carpet. UGH.

Any suggestions??? Home remedies for doggy constipation??

Did you just adopt him? Did he have an especially big poop yesterday? Sometimes Jack will go a day without pooping.

No. Have had him for 3 months now. He's just never gone a day without droppin a 2. Usually he'll go like 4 or 5 times a day.

I would have to agree, sometimes they just don't have to go.

This is a stupid old trick I used to use for my boy dogs when they were puppies; tie an old t-shirt around their waist...no peepee accidents! Mine would always hold it when they felt the pressure of the "diaper"...I would then take them out ever couple of hours and remove it for them to potty.

Be patient poo will come...

Yeah, well he is still on Nutro..I don't know if that has anything to do with it. We are waiting for the bag to be gone so we can start him on timberwolf.

You should be mixing it for a couple of weeks to avoid any upset stomachs.
