Many pit bulls have sensitive skin and allergies.
You could try to give benadryl to see if it helps (1-2mg per pound of body weight-- it may seem like a lot, but dogs metabolize it differently than humans)

If things don't clear up, I would recommend having allergy tests done.
We wasted tons of time trying to figure out Sidney's allergies on our own before having the tests done, and I wish I would have just done it from the beginning.

Sorry for the DP, but have you had any skin scrapings done yet?

You said you bathe her every three weeks. Do the bumps tend to get worse after the baths?

I don't know much about Malta...do you have fleas there? And is your pup on flea prevention?

Skin irritation can have SO MANY causes! I do think a visit to the vet is a good starting point.

With a skin scraping, they will take a razor or scalpel and just scrape off a little bit of skin flakes in different areas of the body to check under a scope for an overgrowth of mites.

Update us after the vet visit.
